He is survived by: his children, William Cabbel Newman, Jr., Patrick "Todd" Newman (Tami) of Marion, Donna Newman Thompson (Joey) of Henderson and Paige Newman Alford (Tim) of Carolina Beach; his grandchildren, Kasey Newman Phelan (Tim), Blake Newman, Taylor Newman, Trevor Newman, Meredith Thompson Manning (Chris), Hannah Thompson Abshire, Hunter Nelms and Colin Nelms; his great grandchildren, Norah Phelan, Davis Manning, Noah Manning, Miles Manning and Piper Abshire; his sisters, Mary Elizabeth "Libba" Newman Pegram (George) and Elsie Newman "Otchie" Pearce; his nieces, Jane Pegram Haithcock (Tommy), Lisa Pegram Simmons (Steve) and Jodi Pearce Massey (Shane); and his nephew Alan Pegram (Audrey).
Beyond his contributions to the workforce, WC had a multitude of passions that enriched his life.
