He was predeceased by: his parents, William Nelson and Lena Gurley Nelson; his sons, Jason Nelson and Jeffrey Nelson; his siblings, Patricia McInturff and Peter Nelson; and his nephew Brandon Bennett.
He is survived by: his children, Adam Nelson and Natasha Cage (Anthony) of Sacramento, CA; his grandchildren, Adreanna, Aliyah and Elijah; his nieces and nephews, Andy Bennett (Janice), Todd Bennett, Kara Bonura (John) and Donnie Nelson; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Devon Bennett, Dominic Bennett, Shane Bennett (Zoe), Cody Bennett and Haiden Ball. He is also survived by his family and friends.
