She was predeceased by: her father Marion Chapman; and her brother Ronnie Chapman. She is survived by: her husband Jim Shehan; her sons, Jack Wesley Buchanan and Rodney Burnette; her stepdaughters, Katherine Schoenen and Jamie Bryant (David); her siblings, Bryan Chapman and Donnie Ellis; and her close friend Gwen McCarson. She is also survived by four grandchildren; four great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Shehan Family, 2170 Rutherford Road, Marion, NC 28752.
