He is survived by: his wife Louise Metcalf Elkins; his siblings, Adaleen Elkins Brown of Weaverville, Fred Elkins of Hendersonville, Everette of Weaverville, Arlan Elkins of Weaverville and Lonnie Elkins of Marshall; and his goddaughter Nicole Elkins. He is also survived by 5 nieces, 4 nephews.
