He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Rice and Lucinda Whittemore Rice; and his siblings, Clois Ann Rice, Carolyn Jane Rice and Bobby Glenn Rice.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Gail Rice Prater and Ricky Rice.
A memorial service was held on Friday, May 1st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Barnardsville Church of God (1436 Barnardsville Hwy, Barnardsville, NC 28709).
