He was predeceased by: his parents, Odus Dalton and Ruby Bridwell Burry; his siblings, Mary Irene Burry, Odus Lee and John Hamilton Burry; his nephew Wade Hampton Burry; and his sisters-in-law, Linda Ponder and Karen Heatherly.
He is survived by: his wife Cathy Devone Ponder Burry; his children, Jessica Daniella Burry and Daniel Nathan Burry; his sister Eula Nesbitt (Jimmy); his brothers-in-law, James Ponder and Dennis Heatherly; and his sibling's children, Christy Roberts, Elizabeth Lowry (Mike), Ernest Ek (Sally), Stuart Ek (Frances), Jimmy Ponder (Natalie) and Brad Nesbitt (Terri).
