He was predeceased by: his parents, William David and Katherine Ward Hyatt; his nephews, Joshua Bradley and Beau Barnes; and his parents-in-law, Ruth and Dallas Rice.
He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Rice Hyatt; his siblings, Joyce Elain Hyatt, Katherine Ann Hyatt McCue (John), Dennis Alan Hyatt (Margaret) and Susan Lynne Hyatt (John McEvoy); his siblings-in-law, Sheila Stamey Franklin, Rachel Louise Rice and Felix Ivan Rice; and his close friend Ann Cook of Inman, SC.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral and Cremation Service (7626 NC-213, Mars Hill, NC 28754). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
