He was predeceased by: his parents, Judge Arnold Peel and Othel Lawson Peel; his wife Cathy Patman Peel; his son Michael Edward Peel; his grandson Anthony Peel; and his siblings, Wynetta Killingsworth, Zona Phillips and Arnold Peel.
He is survived by: his children, Sandra Fox (Travis) and Jeff Peel (Missy); his grandchildren, JT Peel (Katie), Chris Peel, Jessica Fenske (Clint) and Jacob Cedillo; and his great grandchildren, Raiden Fenske, Corbin, Oliver and Emerson Peel.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral and Cremation Service (7626 NC-213, Mars Hill, NC 28754). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Calvary Baptist Church (1343 Bailey St, Mars Hill, NC 28754).
