Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Joan Poole (Mars Hill, North Carolina), who passed away at the age of 78, on November 30, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, Earlis Metcalf and Florence Cutshall Metcalf; her son Jeffrey Poole (Jamie); her siblings, Shirley Metcalf and Gene Metcalf; and her stepson Fred Poole II (Melody).
She is survived by: her husband Fred Poole; her sons, Scott Poole (Rhonda) and Mitch Poole (Buffy); her stepchildren, Chuck Poole (Joyce) and Cheryl Wright (Donnie); her siblings, Kathleen, Linda Kay, Raymond, Dwight, Ricky and Gerald; her grandchildren, Preston, Maverick, Zackary, Taylor, Timothy, Devon, Kaleb, Cole, Jacklyn, Matthew, Christian, Isaac, Abigail, Marie, Chrissy, Anna, Robert, Sara, Jamie and Julia; and her great-niece Brittany Roberts (The Princess). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral and Cremation Service (7626 NC-213, Mars Hill, NC 28754). A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
