It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe Tomberlin (Mars Hill, North Carolina), who passed away on April 21, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hasket Tomberlin and Bessie Tomberlin; his brother Jay Tomberlin Sr. (Alice); his brother-in-law Keith Scott; and his nephew Jay Tomberlin, Jr..
He is survived by: his niece-in-law Deborah Tomberlin of Asheville, NC; his nephew Chris Wilson (Jenay) of Marshall, NC; his great-nephews, Logan and Isaac Wilson; his wife Marlene; and also, Sharon Davis (Ambrose) of Fairview, NC, Rev. Jeffery Tomberlin (Sandra) of Leicester, NC, Joe Tomberlin (Debra), John Tomberlin (Brenda) of Weaverville, NC, Michael Scott (Faye) of Hephzibah, GA, Kelly Whitney (Rick) of Yulee, FL, Mark Scott and Donald Scott of Richlands, NC. He is also survived by many other great nieces and great nephews, extended family.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral and Cremation Service (7626 NC-213, Mars Hill, NC 28754). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at the Little Ivy Baptist Church Cemetery (1053 Crossroads Pkwy, Mars Hill, NC 28754).
