He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lisenbee and Nina Rice Griffee; and his brothers, William, James Lisenbee and Larry Griffee.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Nelms Lisenbee; his sons, Joey Lisenbee (Debbie), Jonathan Lisenbee (Susan) and Jason Lisenbee (Anna); his siblings, Margaret Vance and Mark Griffee; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Orr (Harrison), Loran Lisenbee, Jessica Swann (Payton), Syndey and Nicole Honeycutt; and his great grandchildren, Eli, Conner, Luke and Shayleigh. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Little Ivy Baptist Church Cemetery (1053 Crossroads Pkwy, Mars Hill, NC 28754).
