She was predeceased by: her parents, Morrison Snelson and Emma Allen Snelson; her husband Alvin Vernon Edwards; and her son Michael D. Ledford. She is survived by: her children, Sherrie Ballard (Jeff), Beverly Haney (Jeff) and Ricky Edwards (Cindy); her sister Genevieve McMahan; her grandchildren, Donnie Hart, Joshua Hart (Leigh), Ashley Masters (Ken), Katey Greer (Joe), Sean Gosnell, Zachary Haney (Stacie) and Kaleb Haney; and her close friend Bobby Edwards. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral and Cremation Service (7626 NC-213, Mars Hill, NC 28754). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Cedar Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery (474 Cedar Hill Rd, Alexander, NC 28701).
