He was predeceased by : his parents, Lloyd Warren and Estie Crowder Ponder; and his brothers, Vernon, Zade, Mack and Glenn Ponder.

He is survived by : his wife Linda Sue Wilson Ponder; his children, Danielle Griffin (Jeff) and Tim Ponder (Lora); his siblings, Louise Paulson and Dewayne Ponder; his grandchildren, Jennifer Maynor (Curtis), Michael Ponder and Hunter Griffin; and his great grandchildren, Brielle and Brooklyn Maynor. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
