She was predeceased by: her parents, James Wayne Rice and Jennie Lou Myers Ingle; her husband Bascom Whitt; and her brother Jimmy Rice. She is survived by: her children, Pam Whitt, Tammy Foxx (Craig) and Michael Whitt (Cindy); her brother Phil Rice (Judy); her grandchildren, Alesha Soehl (Sean), Jesse Pottle, Savannah Whitt, Breanna Pottle, Mollie Whitt and Emilie Whitt; and her great grandchild Alessandra Soehl. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral and Cremation Service (7626 NC-213, Mars Hill, NC 28754). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
