With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Mattie Jarvis (Mars Hill, North Carolina), born in Asheville, North Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Mattie left this world on April 21, 2025 at the age of 79, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Mattie shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Mattie farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilburn M. Allman and Pansy McGalliard Davis; and her husband Larry Wayne Jarvis. She is survived by: her daughter Teresa Lynn Hass (Randy); and her grandchildren, Robin Alyse Jackson and James Michael Cross (Casey). She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the California Creek Baptist Church (5131 US-23, Mars Hill, NC 28754). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at the Jarvis Cemetery.
