He is survived by: his parents, Clyde Hipps and Rachel Whitson Hipps; his children, Philicia Jones-Hipps (Chris), Jamie King (Cameron), Angelina Heinz (Kyle) and Devan Jones-Hipps; his brothers, Adrian Lee Hipps (Jennifer) and Eric Bryce Hipps (Autumn); his grandchildren, Navaeh Ramsey, Kyra King and Delyla King; his nephews, Kristopher Hipps (Lacie), Austin, Nickolas, Nathan Hipps and Malachi Justice; his mother-in-law Vera Jones; his sister-in-law Robbie Jones (Shawn); his close friends, Mark Cutshall and Chuck Taylor; and his pets, Sassy Mae, Diesel, Bongo and Hitman.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Piney Mountain Baptist Church (150 Elkins Branch Rd, Weaverville, NC 28787). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at the Jones Family Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Blue Ridge Funeral & Cremation Service to help the family with final expenses.
