He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Slowly Franklin and Carolyn Pauline McGee Franklin. He is survived by: his wife Lucille Rice Franklin; his daughter Dorsey Ann Franklin of Concord, NC; his stepdaughters, Bridget Nicole Powell of Gastonia, NC and Chelsea Elizabeth Powell of Asheville, NC; his grandchildren, Elliot Ray Levesque and Lilah Levesque; his siblings, Nan Brillant (Mark) of Deatsville, AL and Marlon Franklin of Mars Hill, NC; and his niece Carrie Brillant. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Madison Funeral Services (1750 NC-213, Marshall, NC 28753). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
