She was predeceased by: her mother Maggie Banks; her husband Jesse Edward Hampton, Jr.; her children, Timothy Hampton and Kimberly Dillard; and her brothers, James and Robert Banks.

She is survived by: her children, Deborah Baldridge (Herman) of Valdese, Rebecca Shelton (Scott) of Marshall and Jesse Hampton III (Patricia) of Waynesville. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
