He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathan "Lee" Thorpe and Pauline Thorpe (Plemmons); and his brother James Lee Thorpe. He is survived by: his wife Dorotha Lewis Thorpe; his children, Kathy Reese (Marty), Keith Thorpe (Marjorie) and Kenney Thorpe (Tina); his grandchildren, Thomas Reese (Sarah), Aleshia Reese, Mikayla Thorpe, Kolby Thorpe, Trevor Thorpe and Ryan Thorpe; and his great grandchildren, Kamden and Reagan Reese. He is also survived by several nephews, nieces, cousins, and many special friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral and Cremation Service (7626 NC-213, Mars Hill, NC 28754). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
