She was predeceased by: her mother Della Sue Turner; and her husband Steve Metcalf. She is survived by: her daughters, Teresa Darlene Metcalf-Newby (Bud) of Brevard, Susan Metcalf-Wooten (Adam) of Marshall and Kristan Chantel Gates (Shane) of Johnson City, TN; her grandchildren, Stephanie May-Lynn Arrington and Steven Allen Arrington; her great grandchildren, Kayli, Leah and Emberly; and her sisters, Lynn, Karen Shuler, Marcia Metcalf and Fran Laws. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Madison Funeral Services (1750 NC-213, Marshall, NC 28753). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 at 6:30 PM at the same location.
