She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred David Rowell and Frances Thomas Rowell; her daughter Lisa Thomas Duke; and her brother Jerry Rowell. She is survived by: her husband Ernie Morris Thomas; her daughter Wendy Brooks (Travis); her grandchildren, Trenton Brooks, Madison Duke and Jordan Brooks; her great grandchild Emery Renee Duke; and her sisters, Debbie Alexander (Larry) and Ann Munsey (Dean).
