He is survived by: his wife Peggy Smith; his children, Cherrisse Johnson (Rusty) of Marshville, Chris Smith (Jennifer) of Charlotte and Michelle Simpson (Ritchie) of Indian Trail; his grandchild Kelly Baker (Brad) of Monroe; his siblings, Gary Smith (Betty) of Indian Trail and Janice Morris (Gerald) of Marshville; his sibling-in-law Peachland; his brother Terry Smith (Nancy) of Marshville; his grandchildren, Emma, Brooke, Morgan, John, Elizabeth, Jacqueline, Luc, Joshua and Kenan; and his extended family, Bonnie Newland, Deborah Sullivan (Donald) of Pageland and Teresa Eudy (Tony) of Marshville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
