She was predeceased by : her parents, John Franklin and Mary Haywood Wilson; her daughters, Michelle Polk and Janice Baker; and her grandson Matthew Baker.

She is survived by : her former life partner Tony Baker; and her children, Tonya Laney, Tabatha Fulmer (David) and Chuck Baker. She is also survived by six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
