He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Earl Russell and Dorothy Coble Russell; and his siblings, Betty Mungo (Ray Mungo), John Russell (Martha Ann) and David Russell.
He is survived by: his wife Flossie Williams Russell; his children, Gerald Russell (Virginia) of Marshville, NC, Darlene Smith (Monty) of Peachland, NC and Neal Russell (Connie) of Marshville; his brother Kenneth Russell (Laraine); and his sister-in-law Doris Russell. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
