He is survived by: his wife Melanie Wilkey; his children, Jack Wilkey Jr. (Tara), Jason Wilkey (Heather), Alex Adams, Eric Adams (Caroline) and Katie Wilkey; his siblings, Nathan Wilkey (Tammy), Debbie Lockwood (Gary) and Vicky Godwin (Eddie); his mother-in-law Elinor Minshew; his brother-in-law Michael Minshew; and his grandchildren, Brock Wilkey, Zada Wilkey, Arwyn Wilkey, Connallie Wilkey, Jonathan Wilkey, Rachel Wilkey, Alyssa Wilkey, Allison Wilkey, Tyson Wilkey, Poppy Adams, Birdie Adams and Aiden Wilkey. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Wilkey Home (416 Godwin St, Marshville, NC 28103).
