It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Ervin Phifer (Marshville, North Carolina), who passed away on January 28, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wade Phifer and Geneva Phifer; and the mother of his children Flonnie Carolyn Phifer. He is survived by: his children, Cindy Pittman, Ricky Phifer (Pepsie), Victor Kim Phifer (Janet) and Teresa Judy; and his grandchildren, William Franklin Niven Jr. (Betsy), Ricky "Little Rick" Phifer (Amy), Cameron Phifer (Stephanie), Stephanie Benton (Brian), Tiffanie Feleciano (Nate), Jessica Phifer, Tyler Phifer (Nicole), Jordan Judy and Alexis Judy. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
