He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett Helms and Dorothy Traywick Helms; and his sons, Michael and Chris Helms. He is survived by: his wife Judy M. Helms; his son Brian Helms (Denise); his grandchildren, Garrett Helms (Bethany), Lakin Helms, Jeffery Helms (Casey) and Tyler Helms; his great grandchildren, Hadleigh, Brooks, Dawson and Lincoln Michael Helms; and his sister Nina Shepherd (Gene).
