He is survived by: his wife Barbara Godwin Comer; his children, Mikey Aytes (Melody) and Meredith Comer Jabana; his grandchildren, Brooke Wilson (Fuller), Tyler Aytes, Nicolas Jabana (Jennifer), Samuel Jabana, Sebastian Jabana and Michael Strickland; and his great grandchildren, Jenic Jabana, Levi Jabana, Avery Wilson and Marshall Wilson.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Faulks Baptist Church Cemetery (2234 Faulks Church Rd, Marshville, NC 28103).
