He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Woods and Minnie McPherson Woods of Scotland County, NC.; his siblings, Arnell Woods, Larry Ray Woods and Patsy Pierce; and his close friend Betty Baxley.

He is survived by: his sons, Christopher Conner (Valerie) of Virginia and Johnathon Conner of Virginia; his brothers, Homer Campbell of Georgia, Melvin Woods (Janet) of Virginia, John Woods of Virginia, Ricky Woods (Elaine) of Virginia, Ronald Woods of Virginia and Ronnie Brewer of Maryland; his grandchildren, Corey, Leah and Amaya; and his niece Kay Shelton. He is also survived by loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews.
