He is survived by: his wife Patsy Skinner (Bumgarner) of Matthews, NC; his sons, Lynn Shearer Skinner (Karin Lehn) of Durham, NC and Wade Robinson Skinner (April (Huntley)) of Indian Trail, NC; his grandson Elijah Ryan Skinner; his sister Karen (Bumgarner); his brother-in-law David Miller of Charlotte; his nephew Jeff Hooks (Tiffany); his great-niece Emily of Ruskin; his nieces, Laura Moore and Mary Alice Miller; Ashburn Miller.
A funeral service was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Providence Baptist Church (4921 Randolph Rd, Charlotte, NC 28211).
