He is survived by: his wife Deborah Knight-Evans; his children, Solli Evans of Florida, Iysha Evans of New York, John Evans of New York, Miriam Makeba Evans of Charlotte, NC, Tyleek Evans of Charlotte and Cecelia Evans; his stepchildren, Caprice Knight-Johnson (Larry Johnson) of Texas, Archie Knight (Christene) of Pennsylvania and Octavius Knight (Laine) of New Jersey; his grandchildren, Vishay, Kayla, Julia, Tatiyana and Paris; his stepgrandchildren, Octavius Knight Jr., Angelina, Christian, Archie K Jr., Danielle, Cameron, Somara and Nicholas; his great grandchildren, Aiden, Mercy, Malcolm, Brysen and Braylen; and his siblings, Lilian, Steven, Alphonso, Richie and Bruce. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
A funeral service was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 11:00 PM. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home (4715 Margaret Wallace Rd, Matthews, NC 28105). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
