With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Deborah Ann Sciortino (Matthews, North Carolina), born in Waterbury, Connecticut, who passed away on October 5, 2025 at the age of 67. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Deborah Ann Sciortino to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Zabbara and Anna Zabbara (Lena); and her niece Lisa Boutote. She is survived by: her children, Chris Sciortino (Annie) of Hampstead, NC and Becky Barham (Grayden) of Mint Hill, NC; her grandchildren, Taryn and Breckin Barham; her siblings, John Zabbara (Alice) of Waterbury, CT, Robert Zabbara (Sharon) of Wolcott, CT, Manny Zabbara (Susan) of Wolcott, CT, Judi Taylor of Prospect, CT, Bonnie Boutote of Watertown, CT and Annie Zabbara (Crystal) of Chattanooga, TN; and her former husband Robert Sciortino of Wilmington, NC. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the The Chapel (12900 Idlewild Rd, Matthews, NC 28105).
