With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elizabeth Ellen Shaffer Masurat (Matthews, North Carolina), who passed away on February 25, 2026 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Irwin Shaffer, Jr. and Helen Snyder Shaffer; her husband Kurt Masurat; and her siblings, John I. Shaffer, III and Mary Gail Gallagher.
She is survived by: her daughter Casey Masurat Tuason (Jeffrey); her grandchildren, Karen Jackson, Judy Moseley, Janet Hawley (David) and Beverly Owen (Jay); and her siblings, Helenann Meenan (Anthony), Robert Shaffer (Sherri) and Andrea Wood (David). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
