We announce the death of Ella Sue Nyborg (Matthews, North Carolina), who passed away on August 28, 2026, at the age of 92. Ella will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Frye and Maude Meadows Frye; and her husband James William Nyborg, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Ella, Terry Smith (Michael) of Locust, NC, Jeannie Roberts of Charlotte, James William Nyborg Jr. (Angie) of Monroe, NC and Kimberly Martins (John) of Charlotte; and her grandchildren, Kelly, Kristy, Kayce, Amber, Kay, Jacob, Stephen, Sydney, Britney, Morgan and Christian. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home (4715 Margaret Wallace Rd, Matthews, NC 28105). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location.
