He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Burris and Hazel Burris of Harrisonville, MO.. He is survived by: his wife Gail Burris; his sons, Greg Burris (Stephanie) of Marshville, NC and Garrett Burris of Charlotte, NC; his granddaughters, Katelyn of Monroe, NC, Abigail and Kinsley of Marshville, NC; his sister Connie Hodges (Bill) of Jacksonville, FL; his sibling's children, David Hodges (Danielle) of Charlotte, NC, Mark Hodges of Jacksonville, FL and Lynette Williams of Overland Park, KS; his great-nieces, Lina Hodges of Charlotte, NC and Emersyn Williams of Overland Park, KS; and his great-nephew Drake Williams of Overland Park, KS..
A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Matthews United Methodist Church (801 S Trade St, Matthews, NC 28105).
