He is survived by: his wife Peggy Cherry; his daughters, Teresa Mills (David) of Bluff City, TN and Pam Cherry of Bristol, TN; his grandchildren, Sara Gooden of Bluffton, SC, Ashley Puckett (Jason) of Kingsport, TN, Michael Rutter (Tia) of Bristol, TN, Amanda Danson (Thaddeus) of Henrico, VA, Shannon Martin (David) of Knoxville, TN and Andrew Mills of Knoxville, TN; his great grandchildren, Marcus Gooden, Rylee Phipps, Jensen Puckett, Maxwell Gooden, Solomon Rutter, Mitchell Mills, Ezekiel Rutter, Tobias Rutter, Eleanor Danson and Thaddeus Danson; and his brother John R. Cherry (June) of Denver, NC..
