We announce the death of Maria Elena Gonzales Risher (Matthews, North Carolina), who passed away on November 3, 2026, at the age of 87. Maria will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Maria’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlos Monarrez and Francisca Gonzalez; and her husband Bobby Tex Risher. She is survived by: her children, Raymond Gonzalez (Sharon), Bobby Risher (Nancy), David Risher (Leslie), Paul Risher (Candy) and Elizabeth Risher Trevino (Elddy); and her kindness Christian. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, along with numerous extended family members, dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 8th 2026 at 7:00 PM at 2302 Sam Newell Rd, Matthews, NC 28173. A burial will be held on Wednesday, November 11th 2026.
