She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Payne and Angeline Payne; and her brothers, Jarvis Payne, Swanson Payne, Jerry Payne, Roy Payne and Kanawha Payne.
She is survived by: her children, Robin Smithberger (Jeff) of Matthews and Bill Payne (Tamara) of Wallburg, NC; her grandchildren, Andrew Christian of Matthews, NC, Robert Christian of Ashburn, VA and Holly Payne of Wallburg, NC; her stepgranddaughters, Jessica Gunzinger of Austin, TX and Dr. Leanna Smithberger of Tampa, FL.; and her siblings, Nadine Farris (Gordon), Rainell Reed and Thurman Payne (Lona).
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bradshaw Mountain Community Church (16950 Marshall Hwy, Paynesville, WV 24873).
