He was predeceased by: his parents, Laxton Hamrick and Gwendolyn Hamrick. He is survived by: his wife June Hamrick; his son Mark Hamrick (Karen); his grandchildren, Ryan and Stephen; his sons, Scott Hamrick and John Hamrick (Elizabeth); his grandchildren, Logan, Philip, Claire and Jack; and his sisters, Sally Jo Carter and June Brady of Tryon.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Magnolia Chapel at Matthews Glen (733 Pavilion View Dr, Matthews, NC 28105).
