He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennett Holmes McLendon and Agnes Simpson; and his wife Judith Whitley McLendon. He is survived by: his children, John McLendon and Elizabeth "Libby" McLendon; his grandchildren, Erin McLendon and Steven McLendon (Hannah McLendon); and his great grandchildren, Grady, Parker and Julianne. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
