She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Austin Griffin and Glendred Deese Griffin; her husband Bill Burns; her sister Barbara Sipe; and her brother-in-law Alan Sipe.
She is survived by: her children, William F. Burns Jr. (Caitlin) and Crystal Maver; her grandchildren, Melanee Rowley, Ian Rowley (Keri), Joshua Rowley (Hannah), Fallon and Jaron Burns; her brother Edward Griffin (Kelly); and her nieces, Samantha and Jessica (Ken).
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Levine Senior Center (1050 Devore Ln, Matthews, NC 28105).
