He was predeceased by: his mother Audrey Hartis; and his siblings, Ralph Hartis (Betty) and Claudine Curlee (Tom). He is survived by: his wife Del; his children, Mona Bowen (Jimmy) and Anthony Hartis (Cheryl); his grandchildren, Brandi Holder (Garrett), Britany Bowen and Blake Bowen (Leah); and his great grandchildren, Tak Holder, Jay Holder, Mae Holder, Callie Bowen and Peyton Bowen. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel (7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Rd, Mint Hill, NC 28227). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
