He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy Hunt and Ina Mae Ransom Hunt; and his siblings, Dorsey Hunt, Kenneth Hunt, Eugene Hunt, Beulah Mae Hunt, Patricia Capper, Marion Grimsley and Doreen Barker.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Goins Hunt; his children, Robert Matthew Thomas of Maxton, Clifton "Phillip" Thomas of Maxton and Patsy Ann Clark Deese of Maxton; his siblings, Hal Hunt (Flora Mae) of Maxton, Alice "Faye" Hatcher of Maxton and Rebecca Hunt (Wendell) of Rowland; and his niece Joan "June" Young. He is also survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; along with many loving extended family.
