She was predeceased by: her parents, Dougald Brooks and Pearlie C. Brooks; and the father of her children Herman Locklear. She is survived by: her daughters, Julie Locklear (Grady) of Maxton, Francis Chavis of Maxton, Annie Locklear of Maxton, Doreen Johnson (Darryl) of Maxton, Florella Dial of Maxton, Billie Mae Dial of Maxton and Eyvon Collins of Maxton; her close friend Dexter Strickland; her caregivers, Emma Locklear and Lisa; and her granddaughters, Carla Sue Dial and Juliet Michelle Locklear. She is also survived by 41 grandchildren; 89 great grandchildren; and 30 great great grandchildren.
