Geneva Huggins Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Geneva Huggins of Maxton, North Carolina, who passed away on September 11, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gus Chavis and Sadie Wilkes Chavis; her sons, Glen Locklear, Gilbert Locklear and Timmy Locklear; her stepdaughter Pam Huggins; her granddaughter Reva Shane Locklear; and her siblings, Elbert Chavis, Chalmers Chavis, Gus Chavis, Jr., Spencer Chavis, Lena Jacobs, Claire Chavis and Nancy Chavis.
She is survived by: her husband Emory Huggins, Jr.; her children, Crawford Locklear of Hamlet, Alex Shane Locklear (Angel) of Maxton, Betty Jo Locklear of Rockingham and Donna Huggins of Red Springs; her daughter-in-law Debbie Locklear; her grandchildren, Gilbert Locklear, Jr., Flossie Freeman, Timmy Ray Locklear, Jr. and Glenn Locklear, Jr.; her stepgrandchildren, Ashley Locklear, Timothy Locklear, Joe Locklear, Niki Ortiz and Nina Miranda; her sisters-in-law, Bessie Chavis and Betty Chavis; and her caregiver Sequoya Chavis. She is also survived by twenty great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
