With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Earl Cummings of Maxton, North Carolina, who passed away on June 22, 2025 at the age of 57. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Henry Hodges Cummings; his son Cedrick E. Bennett; and his siblings, Anthony Bryant, Foster Cummings and Kay Cummings.
He is survived by: his mother Mary Mageline Bryant; his wife Monica Bennett Cummings; his children, Richard Cummings, India Cummings, Timisha Flowers, James E. Cummings Jr., Alliyah Cummings, Ambriray Cummings and Jeremiah Cummings; his sisters, Nadine Cummings, Quanita Cummings and Cindy Haire (Jerry); his mother-in-law Ronson (Geraldine Bennett); and his sisters-in-law, Marion Bryant and Camisha Galloway (Cedric). He is also survived by twenty-six grandchildren, seventeen nieces and nephews, thirty-seven great nieces and nephews, father-in-law.
