It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Doris Locklear of Maxton, North Carolina, who passed away on November 16, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Jean Doris had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Jean Doris may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bizzell Clark and Margan Clark; her brothers, Donald Ray Clark, Sandy Clark and Finnen Clark; and her granddaughter Shiloh Faith Epps.
She is survived by: her husband Phillip Bullard; her children, Kerry Epps (Clyde) of Red Springs, N. C. and Michael Locklear (Danelle) of Wakulla, N. C.; her stepson Phillip Bullard Jr.; and her sister Judy Chavis (Sterling) of Maxton, N. C.. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, November 18th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Chavis and Clark Cemetery (430 Buck Rd, Maxton, NC 28364).
