It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathy Locklear of Maxton, North Carolina, who passed away on April 11, 2026, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Angus "Buck" Strickland, Jr. and Katherine Oxendine Strickland; and her brother Marvin Lewis Strickland. She is survived by: her daughter Chloe Locklear of Maxton; her siblings, Luther "Pete" Strickland, Jr. (Andrea) of Winston-Salem, Juanita "Nita" Strickland and Barbara Locklear (Hank); her nieces and nephews, Marvin Lee Strickland (Patsy), Chelsie Danielle Chavis (James) and Angus Daniel Strickland; her great-niece Madison Danielle Chavis; and her aunt Evelyn Soles of Laurel Hill.
