He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Dial Sr. and Maggie Locklear Dial; his siblings, Bernice Reimer, Juanita Wells, George Dial, Wealthy Coleman, Irene Jacobs, Susie Locklear and Mary Jacobs; his sons, Ricky Dial, Pete Anthony Dial, Robert Alan Dial and Claude Eugene Dial; and his grandchildren, Joshua Cummings, Robert McMillian and Wendy Porter.
He is survived by: his sisters, Mary Bell Dille of Havelock, NC and Lucy Locklear of Maxton, NC. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, and a host of nephews and nieces and other family and friends he loved.
