She was predeceased by: her parents, Billard Britton Carter and Virginia Dial Carter. She is survived by: her children, Amanda Oxendine (James), Phillip Carter and LaTisha Carter-Chavis (Brock); and her siblings, Anthony Dial, Melody Allen (Willie), Harlen Carter, Trisha Carter, Marsha Bullard (Mitchell) and Harold Harris (Phoebe). She is also survived by seven grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
